Tobogganing at day and night
Upper Pinzgau has much more to offer in winter than just pistes, alternative sports are also offered here in various versions. After all, who can boast the world’s longest floodlit toboggan run? Exactly, not we in Mittersill. But instead our neighbouring community of Bramberg – easy to get to with the Pinzgau local railway. Don’t worry, the 14 kilometres descent down into the valley do not have to be climbed on foot – that’s what the mountain cableways are for. Those who prefer dragging their own toboggan uphill for that true tobogganing feeling are in the best of hands in Hollersbach. The natural toboggan run is floodlit in the evening and the ascent is also manageable with children.
Tobogganing is always a true experience including adrenaline and fun. There is hardly anything comparable: Isn’t it a great feeling slowly gaining speed and gliding down the course. Your heart starts beating at every turn because you don’t know whether you’ll come through it unscathed or will make a detour into the snow.
No matter if you ace it on the toboggan or fall off a few times, there is no stopping the fun. Who wouldn’t want to dash down the slope and lean into the curves while the winter wind blows into your face and you can seemingly smell the snow?
