Bianca Eder

Not many people know at a young age what they want to become one day. For Bianca Eder, owner of “Scarpa Italia”, it was exactly the same: “I knew at age 14 that one day I wanted to have my own shoe shop”, she says, “preferably with Italian shoes.” The bubbly, fun-loving Upper Pinzgau native was virtually born with a love for fashion. She comes from a fashionable family, her great-grandma already paid great attention to her appearance.
Where the love for Italian fashion style comes from? “Probably from our summer holidays – we spent most of them in Bella Italia”, she remembers with joy. Shopping in the colourful stores made the mother-daughter team’s hearts shine – the passion for the Italian look was sparked. The young entrepreneur is particularly keen on shoes: “Sneakers, sandals, ballerinas or boots in Italian style are simply eyecatchers”, Bianca raves.

She made her dream of her own shoe shop come true earlier than she had planned. “I knew that economic know-how is the fundamental requirement for opening your own business, so I began an apprenticeship as an office administrator.” Her final project dealt with her vision and developed the concept “Scarpa Italia”. Just 2 years later, at the tender age of 20, Bianca opened her shop in Neukirchen. “I think I was the youngest boutique-owner in town”, she smiles.
Three years later the energetic young entrepreneur opened a branch in Mittersill. “That was a funny story: Thanks to a misunderstanding by a friend I got to hear of a lease that was to be granted to a new tenant”, she says, “but this was not actually official yet”, she adds with a smirk. “I got lucky”. Thus in 2009 she brings the peppy “La dolce vita-fashion style” to Mittersill and into the wardrobes of trendy Italo-fashionistas.
