... and passion meets fascination. Helmut and Gernot Rumpler not only have a great father-son relationship, they also have one thing in common: their dedication to hunting and their enthusiasm for weapon technology and shooting sports.

You can usually find the two of them together in their store on the Salzachbrücke. This is perhaps due to the fact that father and son are equally fascinated by guns. For them, the daily tinkering and optimization of shotguns, semi-automatic weapons and more is not a job but a passion: “The technology and progress in the weapons industry are fascinating. Even if this topic is not everyone's cup of tea, the fact is that hunting and shooting sports are becoming increasingly popular.

Helmut is a master gunsmith - he knows how to build, maintain and repair hunting and sporting guns by hand. “My father was a forester. Even as a child, I was interested in nature, the forest habitat and animals. The connection to weapons has also been with me since my childhood.” So it was foreseeable that he would also develop in this direction professionally. He trained at the technical college in Ferlach, passed the master craftsman's examination and soon became self-employed. He actually wanted to realize his dream together with a partner in Innsbruck, he laughs: “Sinnhuber Franzi opened my eyes after he told me right to my face that I would be stupid if I didn't do it alone and not in my home country.” Helmut followed his instinct and opened his store in Mittersill on July 1st, 1985.
