The passionate cook
Toni has already seen and experienced a lot. With his Sylvia, he has been all over the world. They spent at least half a year on every continent. He knows: The Pinzgau is one of the most beautiful regions - worldwide. Wow! What we should definitely preserve, what he thinks we can still learn and what matters in gastronomy. This is what the passionate chef Toni Seber, the man with the hat, tells us in his restaurant "Sunnseit", on the sunny side of the Hohe Tauern.
He always wanted to become a chef. After his apprenticeship, which he completed in Tyrol, the Mittersill native stayed there to work until 2008. This is probably also due to the fact that he meets his wife Sylvia. They were young and started exploring the world early. Gastronomy is the most beautiful career field for the globetrotter, as he calls himself. "We have to make working in gastronomy worth living - and for everyone involved." That's also the guiding principle after which they orient their business: "Food with a view." Not because of the view - which is admittedly also grandiose - he interprets the word in a figurative sense: to create a gastronomic offer whereby employees, nature, producers, guests and bosses are all equally well off. In his opinion, this is also the future.
When the sun illuminates the valley in the morning and bathes the terrace in atmospheric light in the evening; when the last guest of the day leaves the mountain restaurant satisfied - then the entrepreneurial couple knows: They have done everything right. "Making our guests happy and also witnessing this, that fulfills us and confirms us in what we do and what we believe in."
